An Assignment of a Law Enforcement Institution in criminal Intelligence

Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the issue of the legal nature and the problems related to understanding of an assignment of a law enforcement institution. The author is trying to identify the relationship between an assignment of a law enforcement institution and the very similar ways of obtaining criminal intelligence information. The main features of an assignment of a law enforcement institution are identifying and analyzing in comparison to the features of the other means of the obtaining criminal intelligence information such as a covert operation, conduct imitating a criminal act and agent activities. A particular focus of research is drawn on the expediency of including an assignment of a law enforcement institution into the regulation of the act of Law on criminal intelligence and its relevance.
