Economic sanctions and Russian foreign trade in the economic crisis conditions

Summary/Abstract: The main goal of the article is to analyse the influence of the EU and the USA economic sanctions against Russia and the Russian embargo on food products, on Russia foreign trade in 2014 and 2015. Sanctions and embargo have caused the decrease of Russian export and import. They influence changes in Russian foreign trade structure by main partners. Russian embargo concerning food products has revealed the problem of repleacing import by local products. Economic sancions are the negative catalyst of unfavourable situation in Russian economy, caused by the rapid ruble depreciation, decrease of crude oil prices on international markets and GDP growth rate.
