Summary/Abstract: Municipal waste management systems working in different countries are very diverse. Attributing to them characteristics, can be divided into several stages of development of these systems, leading to sustainable development. The aim of this article is an analysis of Polish municipal waste management by using available statistical data and rating how effective it is in terms of achieving policy objectives and its sustainability.
