Summary/Abstract: Archbishop Fulton Sheen was born in El Paso, Illinois in a Newton’s and Delia’s family. He received good education in US and abroad. In 1919 became a catholic priest in diocese of Peoria. He achieved real famous as catholic evangelist in radio, TV, during retreats and as a books writer. Fulton Sheen caused efficient development American branch of the Society for the Propagation of the Faith, where he was a director by 16 years. Named auxiliary bishop in 1951served in archdiocese of New York to 1966. Appointed bishop of Rochester retiredin1969 and named titular archbishop of the Newport, Wales. He died in 1979 in the age of 84 and was buried in St. Patrick’s archcathedral in New York. Present Fulton Sheen is called as Venerable Servant of God. His beatification process is suspended by misunderstanding between dioceses of New York and Peoria.
