Summary/Abstract: During the last years, the archaeological site Negrilești – School Yard, firstly investigated in 1981, offered many archaeological testimonies that point to its continuous inhabitation, from the Early Neolithic until the Contemporary Age. Between 2007-2014, some preventive archaeological researches were carried on, which unearthed several dwelling complexes, fire installations, waste pits, tombs, all dated in the early Neolithic (Starčevo-Criș civilisation), Bronze Age (Noua civilisation), the IV-th century AD (Sântana de Mureş-Černjachov civilisation), the period between the VIII-th and the X-th centuries, the Middle Age and the Modern Age. The researches carried in 2015 meant the opening of 11 digging units: eight sections and boxes in the sectors topo B5, B6 - C5, C6 („The School Yard - Playground”) and three boxes in the sector topo C3 („The Pine”). The investigation of the sectors topo B5, B6 - C5, C6 was prompted by the intentions of the local authorities to build a metal net fence around the playground of the school. In the eight digging units of the section („The School Yard - Playground” (SM2/2015, SM3/2015, SM4/2015, SM5/2015, Cas.1/SM3/2015, Cas.2/SM3/2015, Cas.3/SM5/2015, Cas.4/SM5/2015) 31 archaeological complexes were unearthed, containing archaeological materials pertaining to the Bronze Age (Noua civilisation), post-Roman age (Sântana de Mureș-Černjahov civilisation) and to the VIII-th – X-th centuries. Some traces of stonework and four installations from the Modern Age were also revealed. In the sector C3 („The Pine”), three digging units were investigated (Cas.1/2015, Cas.2/2015 and Cas.3/2015), where 40 archaeological complexes were unearthed, dating from the Bronze age, IV-th century AD, VIII-th – X-th centuries AD and also some items from the XIX-th century. There were investigated two dwelling complexes, one from the Bronze Age and one from the IV-th century AD, and several fire installations, such as an oven for baking potterz, dating from the IV-th century AD.
