Management control in government administration units - practical aspects

Summary/Abstract: The basic aim of managerial control as the management function is to achieve established purposes by managers of public finance sector units in the most effective way of their management. Management control in the units of the public finance sector constitutes a trial of applying a new management approach i.e. New Public Management, which aims at increasing the performance and effectiveness of public entities’ activities. It is observed in government administration units that it does not function properly in the opinion of external control authorities.
