Summary/Abstract: In the paper there is presented the problem of strategy and social responsibility (Corporate Social Responsibility – CSR) strategy implementation. The attention has been drawn to the proceeding flexibility of the strategy, understood as the concept of changes which are made with a view to the future of the enterprise. Flexibility of the strategy also refers to socially responsible activities whose implementation brings about the benefits for the enterprise and the environment. In the paper there are also characterized the properties and the implementation of socially responsible activities of enterprises operating in the area of the Silesian Voivodeship while taking into account their financial standing. The attention has been paid to the barriers to the implementation of socially responsible actions in the analyzed enterprises among which there predominate financial and time barriers as well as the mental ones.
