Summary/Abstract: Human resources management is vital to any organisation as it promotes and supports its objectives and values. It is related to the development and implementation of internally consistent HR strategies aligned with the economic strategy and HR practices which will provide competent and involved employees able to achieve goals. In the study, two dimensions of human resources management are analysed – universal and contingency, and so are their two corresponding concepts – best practices and best fit. The analyses are based on literature study and evidence from research.
