Summary/Abstract: For over a decade there have been numerous efforts undertaken aimed at conceiving fatigue management systems (FMS). Scientific researches conducted within are primarily focused on professional drivers, aircraft pilots and ground control personnel, mineworkers, construction workers, and sea fishermen, that is, on occupations associated with the most serious consequences of a possible human error resulting from fatigue. The paper presents an overview of selected methods and tools for fatigue detection and evaluation that have certain potential to be used in such systems.
