Summary/Abstract: The author of the article have presented the different academic and legal definition of corruption. He pointed the signs of corruption on different fields of economy and described the institution that should prevent the corruption. In further part of the article the international aspects of corruption are discussed where the polish case is underlined. Moreover the author named interesting factors and indicators of corruption in Poland. According to the author one of the most interesting is the scale of the position that are strongly connected with a risk of corruption, while one of the issues discussed are the motives of corruption. The main thesis of the article is that corruption is a global phenomenon and the fight against corruption is a matter of each counties, nevertheless it is difficult to measure the real scale of it
