Summary/Abstract: The digital communication has become part of our daily existence. Modern information and communications technologies affect all spheres of economic life, including the public sector. The paper deals with the issue of digital communications in public and state administration, the quality of websites and the information systems applied in selected public services. The main purpose of this paper is to present the project Central Government Portal, the required standards of the digital communications in the public sector and to define criteria for success from a user’s point of view.
