A newspaper for the people's destiny

Summary/Abstract: The article offers a critical analysis of the contents of “Struma” newspaper of the town of Blagoevgrad. Two types of characteristics have been sought – general, representative for the entire regional press in our country, and physiognomic, inherent only to “Struma” newspaper. The way of telling the news story, as well as the symbiosis between the criminal and political discourse, form to the biggest extent the specific image of the newspaper. Conclusions are drawn that upon presenting the picture of the world and the evil in society, the newspaper has adopted the popular point of view and its slogans mainly reproduce the mass stereotypes.
