The diversity of transport infrastructure in the context of the EU policy

Summary/Abstract: The impact of the European Union on the development of transport infrastructure within the area is invaluable. Infrastructure is one of the elements that requires the cooperation of individual countries and a common approach to the transport connections planning. EU provides the appropriate framework, both financial and proper knowledge, for the countries to work together in order to create equal territorial access in Europe. The aim of the publication is the quantitative analysis of the diversity of the EU in terms of transport infrastructure and the achievements and challenges of the next EU policy in this area.
