Counselling in Practical Social Work – Limits and Dimensions

Summary/Abstract: This paper looks into counselling as a professional activity which is an integral part of practical social work. An attempt is made to present and identify psycho-social counselling as a modern and adequate approach to/in social work, which consists of key elements from both psychological and social counselling. The main reason of focusing on this problem is connected with the fact that there is not a well-developed methodological tool (scientific and practical) for providing social work to various socially vulnerable groups, communities and individuals.
