Summary/Abstract: The paper attempts to identify the factors influencing the development of a region on the example of Lubuskie voivodeship. The paper places particular emphasis on the decisions taken by local authorities who have a decisive impact on the functioning and development of the region. Shaping a positive image and creating conditions for the development require the development of specific solutions and determining courses of action, which the authorities should follow to promote a positive image of the region.
