Summary/Abstract: Established in the 18th century and still used by the town’stiny Jewish community, thecemetery is believed to be the oldest Jewish cemetery in Transylvania and one of the oldestin Romania. The research details the work has been carried out on the cemetery funded bythe Alba County Council, which employs newtechnology such aslaserscanning to documentstones and make a complete inventory of the oldestsection of its historicalsection, accessiblevia a GIS web application. The study area presented an accelerated dynamic as regards thedegradation of the environmental components.
