Summary/Abstract: Minstrel Şenlik had lived in the second half of the 19th century, social and political aspects of Kars and the surrounding area has experienced one of the most chaotic periods. This situation is reflected in many of his poetry. Even it is said that such of his poems has provided him being counted to be famous and loved among the people, However, such as every minstrel, he had loved and wrote many poems on the ones who had loved. According to the saying "Those we love are always beautiful", his loved ones are also pretties of his heart . In Turkish poetry, the subject matter is the most beloved. The main feature of the beloved one is considered beautiful by people who love her. Beauty perception, varies from person to person and period to period. Some certain features of beauties which we have seen in minstrel poems stand out in his poems too. In the poems there has been beautiful types accepted by everyone, but there are beauties who are favourite of the minstrels of their own. In this context, Şenlik has his own peception of beauty and his point of view against the beautiful ones. Şenlik’s beautiful type is Hürü.In the poems of Şenlik we can find Hürü's features as beautiful type. In this study, it had been examined of Şenlik’s “beautiful type” and characteristics of her in the source of his descriptions of “beatiful” in his poems.
