Summary/Abstract: In this study, we examined the relationship between number of tourist arrival and GDP (Gross Domestic Product) using data covering the years from 1995 to 2014 regarding 8 Mediterranean countries. Firstly, we investigated cross-section dependency with CD test developed by Pesaran (2004). We used CADF and CIPS individual root tests developed by Pesaran to investigate the stationary of series after seeing existence of the cross section dependency between countries. We decided to use Westerlund Durbin Hausman (2008) cointegration test to investigate a long-run relationship between series. Finally, casual relationships between variables are investigated through Dumitrescu Hurlin Panel Causality Tests. As a result, we found that there is a casual unidirectional relationship from number of tourist arrival to GDP
