Summary/Abstract: We have observed in recent years dynamic development of organic farming both worldwide and in Europe. Contributed to this already in the early 1990s of the last century precise regulations. In Poland and in many other countries, integration with the European Union (EU) created greater opportunities for financial support of this type of agriculture. The aim of this paper is to present the dynamics of selected characteristics of organic farming in the years 2005 - 2014 in the countries, which along with Poland joined the EU in 2004. Analysis was carried out on the basis of the data from the reports of The World of Organic Agriculture. Studies showed that the development of organic farming in the countries is diverse. Changes in the analyzed processes were to be continuous, which allowed to determine the trends and make their extrapolation.
