Summary/Abstract: The main aim of this paper was to compare the technical efficiency scores of Polish dairy farms in the period 2004 – 2011 derived from Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and Bayesian Stochastic Frontier Analysis (BSFA). The mean of technical efficiency score obtained from DEA is 0.6 while from BSFA is 0.88. The Spearman’s correlation coefficient, which equals 0.47, indicates a little resemblance between efficiency measures obtained from both methods. DEA shows that a part of the farms operate under decreasing returns to scale RTS, whereas BSFA indicates that all of the farms have increasing RTS.
