Summary/Abstract: Place names are an important research work in cultural geography studies. Especially, place names give us ideas for study area history. Through the studies applied for this purpose, even if they have been fully disappear; toponymical studies lead us which civilization had dominance in the region since ancient times, which civilization are lived and what did they do for named a place. The history of Agri Province dates back to BC. 4000. Many state and empire established over the region in this process. Dominance civilization gives names to region which are related with their cultural characteristics and also changed the previous place names. Second part of study includes toponymical evaluation of Agri city. Districts names of Agri Province will be evaluate and analyze in this part. Especially, former and current place names of Agri Province and its districts will be evaluate and try to express of these names’ historical and cultural links.
