Summary/Abstract: The article presents results of the own research aimed mainly at evaluation of the degree of variation in the level of efficiency of functioning of selected city offices in Poland. Efficiency measurement was carried out using a non-parametric DEA method. Identification of differences in the efficiency of functioning enabled among others to estimate an optimal level of inputs used to deliver administrative services in a group of 11 city offices as well as to indicate in which of them actions to improve the analyzed efficiency should be implemented.
