The participants in the penal trial in the new Penal Procedure Code

Summary/Abstract: As for the participants in the criminal procedure, the new Criminal procedure code provides several substantial changes. Thus, within the judiciary, apart the courts and law enforcement officials, the following institutions are included: the judge of rights and freedoms and the judge of Pre-Trial Chamber, who will have specific responsibilities in matters of rights and freedoms of the suspect or defendant, and also in checking both the legality of evidences in the phase of criminal investigation and the legality in referring the case to the court by the prosecutor.
