MEDIAN ESTIMATING USING THE EXACT BOOTSTRAP METHOD

Summary/Abstract: The article presents the exact bootstrap method, which was used to estimate the median. Calculations have confirmed its effectiveness, because attempts with an odd number of elements, the estimated distribution of the standard median estimator exactly coincide with the theoretical distribution. For the sample with an even number of items showing that the standard estimator of the median may be biased, which indicates the need to seek its other form.
