Summary/Abstract: This paper presents the results of research on corruption index modeling (Failed States Index). The multiple regression model was constructed and compared with the regression tree. The research was based on the data published by an independent organization The Fund for Peace. Predictors were selected from a set of variables available on the website of the World Bank. The preliminary results clearly indicate that the regression tree better reflects the variation of the parameter than the multiple regression model.
