Between reportage and feature. Theory and practice

Summary/Abstract: This article attempts to provide a comparison between reportage (the literary and journalistic writing form) and 'feature' (a form molded in the USA before the Second World War). This work covers the most important theoretical ascertainments about the determinants of reportage and feature, as well as the short story as a tertium comparationis. Practical examples of both forms are given from the output of contemporary Polish writers (Anna Strońska, Jagienka Wilczak, Magdalena Mazur. The article concludes with the essential differences between these forms.
