Summary/Abstract: The current world standard and aim of educational reform for people with special educational needs, as indicated by international organizations as UNESCO, is to enable them to take advantage of a high level of equality in local schools. The aim of the article is to highlight the differences between inclusive and integrated education which are often treated as synonyms, although the latter is closer to a form of segregation. This analysis was conducted on the base of laws regulating the structure of the Polish educational system.
