Summary/Abstract: The solicitor is a profession of public trust. It is linked to the necessity of having learned expertise, experience, as well as ethical knowledge. Nowadays we can observe a very strong tendency to form general practices, standards of behavior and ethical standards, which are indicative of proper practice. The article is a voice in the discussion on the role and the essence of ethics in today’s legal environment.
