Summary/Abstract: Introducing informatic support to the work is not just getting the program which is available at the moment. Good preparation and multidisciplinary cooperation is a condition that needs to be fulfilled for a successfu I solution and later satisfaction of the user. Preparation includes defining and optimization of working processes which is a hardest part for the user. At the defining of these processes what should not be excluded is a process of archi ving. Contribution toward an easier defining and shaping of user's demands, first because of preserving and proper using of docu ments, which can be offered by archival profession is an instruction for archiving of electronic archival material. Shaping of requests which must support archival sistem must be based on the classification plan and with it be able to guarantee storage of all kinds of documents and informations, creation of documents and informations in different formats, simple searching and printing of documents regardless of the media, availability and safety of the archival system. Electronic documents or digital objects are often followed by numerous attributes i.e. describing elements or metadata. Metada ta of stored documents must contain all standardized information about identification, source, description, managing and availability in time and space and put the document in the exact series of events. Archiving of electronic documents can be done on shortterm, mediumterm and longterm keeping. The goal of the electronic archive is to secure permanent keeping of desired electronic docu ments and belonging attributes (metadata or electronic signature). Special attention must be given to the choice of the document's medium, care and treatment of it.
