Summary/Abstract: After the World War II, the courts in Bosnia-Herzegovina went through the series of organizational changes. Besides that, the social, economic and proprietary relations underwent the important\ and essential changes. Due to that situation, the archives, together with courts, need to create new Category Lists with preservation period for archival and registry materials. It would be the best that the archives reach an agreement upon the following: will the documents continue to be kept as units, or will those parts that are not for a permanent keeping be removed from the documents on regular basis. Only after this is done, we can approach creating the new Category Lists for orientation, which courts can use for creating their own Category Lists with preservation period for archival and registry materials.
