Summary/Abstract: David Goldblatt was born in Lithuania in 1930. He lives and works in South Africa. The exhibition of his photographs was organised by the Kunstbau Gallery in Munich in 2003. He is a documentalist. His photographs could be used as illustration for articles on social and political issues in South Africa. He wants to be a witness of important events and he add comments to those events. The titles of his photographs explain the issues (for example: “Group Areas for Whites”).
