Summary/Abstract: The article considers one of the controversial aspects in philosophical anthropology, i.e., the promiscuous stage as an initial state of sexual relationship in the most ancient community. It is consistently argued that the syncretical form of intersexual relations in the archaic culture is of great interest not only with regard to further evolution of matrimonial relations and development of such social institutions as family and marriage, but also for understanding causes of the metamorphoses accompanying changes in the generic essence of humans.
