Summary/Abstract: The paper focused on how digital technologies were linked with teenager reading practice. The article draws from a study of young people’s reading attitudes. One goal was to observe pupils’ online reading habits. This article presents outcomes from the qualitative and quantitative stages of the study. The survey – the quantitative stage – was conducted in November 2013 on 1721 students completing primary school and 1816 from lower secondary school. The paper reviews its key findings – how students read books: offline or online, printed or on the screen, whether they looked for information about books on the Internet and whether they used it as a source for reading materials.
