Summary/Abstract: Organisational and team identification are essential in explaining how trust emerges and develops among team members and within organisations (Ashforth and Mael, 1989). This study is particularly interested in examining the relationship between trust and identification at both team and organisational levels. Drawing from social identity theory, this research aims to identify the effect of trust on team identification and organisational identification. Our results indicate a positive relationship between the predictors and the outcome variable, highlighting the importance of trust to the functioning of teams and organisations.
