Supervision over the processes conducted in the Information Centre of Insurance Guarantee Fund

Experience of Insurance Guarantee Fund pertaining to its cooperation with the insurance companies in the processes of enriching Polish database consisting of motor insurance information creates a need for providing high standards of data protection.

Summary/Abstract: Experience of Insurance Guarantee Fund pertaining to its cooperation with the insurance companies in the processes of enriching Polish database consisting of motor insurance information creates a need for providing high standards of data protection. Therefore, there should be a constant development on protection of this process provided.Insurance Guarantee Fund actively monitors all of these processes and influences actions of the insurance companies which breach the principles of the cooperation with the Insurance Guarantee Fund.The aim of the article is to present a new model of supervisory actions over the Information Department of Insurance Guarantee Fund. The author points to the fact that the experience acquired in the development of supervisory system should be used in order to expand the activity of Insurance Guarantee Fund and influence other plans that are to be implemented in the insurance market.
