A Composer of Biblical Creativity as a Christian Apologist in the Light of Joseph Ratzinger’s Thought

Summary/Abstract: Today’s world gradually transforms into a “global village”. The prevailing consumerism contributes to the cultural crisis; at the same time there appears a strong need for spirituality (understood in a broad context). Modern man needs a new evangelization. According to Joseph Ratzinger, the apology of Christianity could be based on two main arguments: saints and the art. The apology of saints is made through the testimony of those who experienced the presence of God and who live with Him in everyday life. Apology through the art which contains a theological message is a form of a dialogue between the experience of God’s presence and human feelings. A composer, who meets the criteria of a Biblical creativity artist, can become a Christian apologist as is confirmed by biographies and statements of selected artists.
