Summary/Abstract: This article is dedicated to the development of modern Tatar anthroponymycon. The etymology and derivational structure of the names of children born in Tatar families in the period from 2005 to 2014 are discussed on the basis of the official register books of births. A lexico-semantic classification of these anthroponyms is proposed. The study shows that modern Tatar names preserve an imprint of ethnocultural and historical processes.
