Summary/Abstract: This article focuses on the main NGOs in the field of democratization in Romania. First, I discuss the importance of the global norms in the processes of political regulation. Then I show that the mode of action of these NGOs is related to a deliberative political technology imported from the West and on a metaphysical anticommunism linked to the local issues of lustration. At last, I conclude by demonstrating that the NGOs of democratization reproduce the stigmata of belonging to an anticommunist past, which has become a sin in globalization’s norms, in contradiction with its aim of emancipation from a secondary historical position.
