Summary/Abstract: The article makes an attempt to reveal features of military translators’ structure formation in the conditions of the Great Patriotic War and the involvement of the civil intelligentsia in military and translation activity. Resting on materials of memoirs heritage of military translators the article investigates the aspects of preparation, everyday life in the army, and the main employment of military translators. Revealed is the degree of influence of translation activity on formation of the identity of the studied representatives of the military intelligentsia, analyzed are moral, ethical and value characteristics of the military intelligentsia member and their representation in the sphere of military translators' activity.
