Summary/Abstract: The article deals with attitudes to the symbol of the Motherland in Dagestan. The author based on the results of the interview points out that the inhabitants of contemporary Dagestan recognize this symbol and associate it with largely the Great Patriotic war. He discerns several points of view and concludes that the inhabitants of Dagestan treat positively this symbol.
