Summary/Abstract: In the work of justice through genetic research, forensic and anthropological research as well as by research in the field of criminology, starting with the years 1980-1983, a new and certain opportunity emerged as to identify a person by analyzing the DNA evidence, analysis called the DNA test. This test, in order to lead to a result, should cover 3 phases: procedural, technical and conclusive, namely the proving stage. In its turn, the proving stage includes 3 moments, very important for the pursued result, namely: sampling, preservation and DNA analysis. The sampling and preservation are performed by any criminal investigation institution or any interested medical institution and the analysis can be done within the Forensics Institute in Bucharest and the General Inspectorate of Romanian Police at the Genetics Laboratory (or DNA Laboratory). The DNA analysis involves a step-bystep work in the laboratory
