Summary/Abstract: The discovery of manuscripts in our Albanian villages in Italy and Greece is currently attracting the attention of folklorists and linguists. Each of the manuscripts offers interest in studying the alphabet used, in defining the country of origin and evolution of popular poetry, in knowing the researchers who left us in their work codified traces in the literature popular. The value of these manuscripts is remarkable. They make known to us the activities of the Albanian people, who received in inheritance and continued to sing motives until our days. We had the chance to save from certain loss in the village of Frascineto (Frashnite) in Cosence in Italy, in 1970, part of manuscripts in Italian and Albanian, from the archives of Vincenzo Dorsal, including two manuscripts of Albanian popular songs which we assume collected before J. de Rada began to deal with such work in the last century.
