Summary/Abstract: Juvenile delinquency is a serious social problem that always focused public attention and researchers (sociologists, criminologists and lawyers). The share of juvenile crime statistics in recent years, increases slightly but steadily. In addition, the structure of the crime committed by juveniles can be seen very disturbing changes. Systematically reduces the age of the offenders. The participation of girls in the commission of offenses. Reports of the police and family courts show a more brutal form of crime. Demoralization and juvenile delinquency problem until recently was poor and middle class. Today, the phenomenon of violations of legal norms by minors occurs in all social classes. Disturbing phenomenon has also become co-occurrence with other types of crime, social pathology. In this publication, the authors took criminology and legal considerations concerning juvenile delinquency as the effects of social maladjustment. The main areas of discussion are issues of social maladjustment demoralization and its effects, and minor criminal responsibility in the Polish criminal law. The basis for consideration of the liability of minors are the Act on juvenile justice and penal code. To illustrate the problem of juvenile delinquency in Poland, it is important to the presentation of police statistics on juvenile crime in recent years, confirming the validity of the hypotheses adopted in the publication.
