Summary/Abstract: The poetry of Martin Camaj is an achievement for the Albanian literature not only for the themes and motifs that it brings to life, but mostly for the way in which he sees the reality, for the many sensations and proceedings with which he operates to reflect it artistically. One of the modern techniques the author uses to establish a continuous dialogue with the forerunning authors of Albanian literature is the intertextuality. He has proved to have a trend towards this kind of proceeding since in his early creations, something that becomes obvious especially in certain variations of his own texts and in his original way of bringing his experiences from oral literature. In his future creations we see Camaj intertwining his texts in a vast net of texts, bringing culminating fragments of masterpieces from other famous authors like, Buzuku, Keta, De Rada and Migjeni, at the same time re-evoking and re- estimating them firom a new point of view and also in a new context. As a result, the meaning of his works as a logic and final outcome, is quite different. The existence of a new text within a new one, not only evokes the forerunning authors and their works as a whole, but it also makes it possible for the reader to distinguish more than a single “voice” in them giving it a polifonic character. The creation in these cases comes with different stratifications of the meaning and their significance is often ambiguous. This kind of technique is used by Camaj intentionally, making his own texts polivalent and polisemik indicating also that his creations have a very strong connection with the literary tradition he recalls.
