The free indirect style and its literary illustration

Summary/Abstract: The paper approaches some theoretical and practical problems about the free indirect style and about its literary illustration. We propose here to study the subjectivity of the writer and preservation of the language of the social classes described in the novels through the free indirect style that becomes, therefore, a means of characterizing the individual and collective character.
