Summary/Abstract: As economic crises deepens, Romania was confronted with a serious drought in 1982-1983, while productivity was low and the beginning of the five-year plan of 1981-1985 was highly unsatisfactory. Nicolae Ceauşescu insisted instead on strengthening control overproduction, working forces, economic management and offers as solution more drastic cuts in general consumption.
