Summary/Abstract: The following study aims to discuss a way of perception of old age by students of pedagogy, presenting their hopes and fears associated with the period of late adulthood. The surveyed students, as future teachers of early school education, will be responsible for shaping appropriate attitudes towards the elderly and old age as a natural phase of human life among children. In this context, regardless of professional and methodical training in the scope of preparing children to old age, the students’ attitude to the said phase of life and their way of understanding the tasks faced by teachers of early school education in preparing children for proper contacts and relationships with seniors performs a key role.
