Summary/Abstract: The phenomenon of corruption is present nearly in every part of human life. It is dangerous, especially because it quickly becomes resistant to remedies and it is characterized by changeability, as well as the strength to survive. Corruption violates moral values, including the good. What exactly is good? According to views of the greatest philosophers we can reach a conclusion that it is the most worthy aim of human being. It is very hard to give a universal definition of good. It occurs as: virtue, wisdom, perfectionism, happiness, goodwill, duty, kindness, responsibility, enjoyment. However, it is absolute value itself. Corruption, having its source in human egoism, is based on chasing our own, personal purposes. It leads to violation of ethical norms in society. Good, understood as a subject of corruption transaction loses its value and becomes widely available. Thereby, the boundary between good and evil disappears. By learning moral values and using them in life, human becomes able to recognize and do good. Virtues help to do it, as a moral regulators. Combined with goodwill, they let people fight with weaknesses and cultivate good.
