Summary/Abstract: With 812 trillion cubic feet of natural gas reserves, Iran ranks second among countries in terms of reserves of natural gas development. Thus Iran’s proposal to export natural gas to India and Pakistan in 1993 which included the proposed construction of a pipeline from South Pars field in the Persian Gulf to Karachi and Multan and Delhi was in the end. The pipeline, in addition to economic and technical benefits that will, is also strategically important. Peace in the pipeline, there are two thoughts that it is an approach because of the political interests, this pipeline is necessary though in terms of economic benefits, it is not cost effective. Second look, and technical expertise, which some experts view this approach, it is not applicable and the criticized several aspects, and they do not prescribe it. Iran as an Asian country, according to its geopolitical position, forced to have a good relationship with Asian countries and powers .Quick look at the history of Iran’s relations with Asian countries that can receive the appropriate level of relations with these countries and in different dimensions has been established, though at times due to local conditions and political developments, these relationships have ups & down & can be “Silk Road” of the symbols of this cooperation, especially in the economic affairs. Iran’s South Pars gas field in that part of it is shared with Qatar. One of the world’s largest gas fields is a good position to export Iranian gas via pipelines and LNG from export to various parts of the world particularly in developing Asian countries and has created. In this regard, especially two very large and growing market in energy markets in India and China, which can be considered stable for Iran. Indeed, the economic development of both countries need to continue the transfer of energy from new sources such as Iran and it is safe. In this regard, one of the most important opportunities in Iran gas pipeline to Asian countries, Iran, Pakistan and India pipeline known as the Peace Pipeline, which is considering the possibility of extending the pipeline to China, its geopolitical importance than is added.
