Summary/Abstract: IT concept of the modern librarianship, which implies activities in this field as a global service of collecting, preserving and providing of information, cannot be seen without operation platform on Internet. Beside indispensible databases, with different levels of accessibility, search engines and other interactive platforms with databases, library web portals have enormous importance in information access and retrieval. Availability of certain collections (databases) on web portals is proportional to the availability of potential users. In the last five years statistics shows that the lack of presence of public libraries on regional web portal reduces users’ online visit.
